DynaMatrix® Plus

DynaMatrix Plus is a high-performing clinical alternative to connective tissue grafts and eliminates the need to harvest tissue from the patient’s oral cavity. At twice the thickness of standard DynaMatrix, DynaMatrix Plus has been engineered to generate tissue of increased depth for root coverage and tissue bulking procedures.

Featuring DynaMatrix Technology

As the only intact extracellular membrane (ECM) designed to remodel soft tissue, DynaMatrix integrates the three essential biological components required for natural healing:

  1. A matrix scaffold that retains its three-dimensional structure to facilitate soft tissue regeneration.1
  2. Signaling proteins, within the membrane, that communicate with the body to help stimulate the natural healing process.2
  3. Once implanted, these components facilitate the recruitment of the body’s own cells, in effect allowing the body to restore itself.

DynaMatrix completely remodels into strong, fully vascularized tissue.3 Once the healing process is complete, DynaMatrix is undetectable and becomes an indistinguishable component of the patient’s natural gingival tissue.4

Natural Healing Jumpstart

Unlike acellular dermal matrices, DynaMatrix Plus communicates with the body, signaling surrounding tissue to grow across the scaffold and generate thick, vascularized tissue, while active proteins and molecules—including growth factors, glycoproteins and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs)—support the natural healing process by stimulating angiogenesis and attracting cells and nutrients to the wounded area.

Accepted Like Native Tissue

DynaMatrix does not initiate a strong inflammatory response like other foreign materials. Histology shows that the tissue generated by DynaMatrix is similar to tissue generated by autogenous graft, with mature connective tissue (CT) covered by keratinized epithelium (KE).4

Ease of Use

DynaMatrix Plus is easy to handle: it is pliable enough to drape easily and flexible enough to be cut, rolled, folded, tacked or sutured. Also, because DynaMatrix Plus is composed of natural extracellular matrix, it will not shrink or stretch in the surgical site.

Dependable Strength

Unlike reconstituted materials, DynaMatrix starts strong and becomes stronger and more tear-resistant when hydrated. The same SIS technology is used in applications where high tensile strength is required, such as hernia repair.
