Russ Olsen
President and CEO
Russ Olsen is President and CEO of Keystone Dental, Inc.
Before starting Keystone Dental, Russ served as President of Straumann North America for two years, and in total, has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and medical device industries, having held managerial positions at Bristol Meyers Squibb, Smith & Nephew, and Empi.
He is a graduate of Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Dr. David E. Altobelli
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Dave Altobelli is the Chief Medical Officer of Keystone Dental.
He received his B.S in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, his D.M.D from Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. He is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Dr. Altobelli was on the Harvard faculty and was part of the Craniofacial team at Boston’s Children’s Hospital and the plastic surgery group at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He also co-founded the Craniofacial Osseointegration Center at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Facial Engineering & Morphology Research Lab, and was part of a collaborative team with GE, Sun, and the Surgical Planning Lab at the Brigham.
Dr. Altobelli has also been a biomedical consultant for 20 years, including two medical startup ventures, and has been a technical contributor with the research group at DEKA Research and Development since 2001. He has numerous publications, is co-editor of several bioengineering and biomaterials texts, and holds several patents.
Tom Barrett
Senior Vice President of Manufacturing
Tom Barrett is Keystone Dental’s Senior Vice President of Manufacturing.
Before he joined Keystone Dental, Tom held the position of Senior Vice President of Operations for Orthopedics and Endoscopy at Accelent Corporation. He also worked for Stryker Corporation for thirteen years, holding positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Operations.
Tom has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College, Schenectady, NY, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, Cambridge, MA.
Jim Barrile
Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO
Jim Barrile is Keystone Dental’s Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO.
Prior to joining Keystone Dental, Jim had most recently served as CFO for Trans1, Inc., and had also provided consulting services to Warburg Pincus LLC. Jim has had a tremendous amount of experience in working with early-stage medical device companies. He was the co-founder and CFO at Innovasive Devices; a venture capital backed start-up that developed, manufactured, and sold products for the orthopedic sports medicine market. He was also CFO at Vasca, Inc., a then early-stage medical device company that develops, manufactures, and distributes implants for dialysis patients.
Jim received his MBA from Babson College, Wellesley, MA, and his undergraduate degree is from Bentley College, Waltham, MA.
Carolyn Bitetti
Senior Vice President of Regulatory and Quality
Carolyn Bitetti is Keystone Dental’s Senior Vice President of Regulatory and Quality.
Before joining Keystone Dental, Carolyn served as a Vice President of Straumann USA, where she held various managerial positions in Marketing, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs, and Quality Management over her 15 years with the company. Her previous experience also includes commercial and investment banking positions at Bankers Trust Company (now Deutsche Bank) and Paine Webber.
Carolyn has a degree in Biology from Smith College, Northampton, MA, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, Cambridge, MA.
Linda Jalbert
Senior Vice President of Research and Development
Linda Jalbert is Keystone Dental's Senior Vice President of Research and Development.
Linda has over 20 years experience in the medical device industry. She worked for Straumann USA for nine years, serving for two years as their Vice President of Regulatory and Clinical Affairs. Her previous experiences also include various positions of increasing responsibility at Siemens Medical Systems in Iselin, NJ and Radionics, Inc., a US manufacturer of neurosurgical and radiation treatment planning medical devices.
She is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Heather Pellegrini
Vice President of Human Resources
Heather is Keystone Dental's Vice President of Human Resources.
Heather came to Keystone Dental after working at Straumann USA. Her previous experiences also include a human resources managerial position for a minor league baseball team and counseling positions in educational settings.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Babson College, Wellesley, MA, and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology.
Dr. Thomas Reddy
Senior Vice President of Professional Relations
Dr. Thomas Reddy is Keystone Dental's Senior Vice President of Professional Relations.
Before joining Keystone Dental, Dr. Reddy had served as a Vice President of both Straumann USA and Nobel Biocare USA with a combined service of over 15 years, primarily focusing on training, education and institutional relationships. Dr. Reddy completed 24 years of active federal service with the US Army Dental Corps, retiring in 1992 from US Army Health Services Command, Ft. Sam Houston, TX, where he served as Director of Dental Services for the US Army.
Dr. Reddy received his BS degree from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT, and his DDS from Georgetown University, Washington, DC.
Dr. Jim Simpson
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Jim Simpson is Keystone Dental’s Chief Technology Officer.
From 1990 to 2006, Jim served as the Director of Clinical Research at Institut Straumann AG in Switzerland. He developed advanced surfaces for dental implants, and worked on the designs of orthopedic and dental implants, as well as studying biological responses to metals in the human body. Before that, from 1980-1989, he held a Group Leader position at Sulzer Brothers Ltd. in Waldenburg, Switzerland. During his time at Sulzer, he developed improved materials for hip and knee prostheses.
Jim holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgy from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK.
Tommy Smith
Senior Vice President of Sales
Tommy Smith is Keystone Dental's Senior Vice President of Sales.
Prior to joining Keystone Dental, Tommy was most recently Regional Vice President of Sales at Smith & Nephew, Inc. He has also held managerial positions at Straumann USA and Bristol-Meyers Squibb, in his more than 25 years in the healthcare and medical device industries.
He is a graduate of Auburn University in Auburn, AL, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.
